A Legacy of Compassion of East Moline, IL Funeral Services

Our family has been proudly serving the community with compassion and dedication for over 182 years. It all began in 1841 when Charles Bishop Knox became the pioneer undertaker in Rock Island County, crafting coffins. The business was passed down from one generation to another, eventually becoming E. B. Knox and Son Funeral Home. In 1923, we embraced the innovative concept of funeral homes and established Knox Funeral Home at its current location. In 1945, the Trimble family took over, renaming it Knox-Trimble Funeral Home, later becoming Trimble Funeral Home. We expanded our services to Coal Valley and Aledo and ventured into retail in 1985 with the acquisition of Julius Staack and Sons Florist. Wilson House Stationers and WaterMark Corners were also added, offering more to our beloved community.

In 2014, we relocated to Trimble Pointe, a diverse development that includes funeral services, a crematory, funeral planning, and CityView Celebrations – an elegant reception center. Throughout our history, we have always approached life and death with a unique perspective, focusing on reflection, appreciation, and celebration of life's remarkable stories. We are not just a funeral home but a tight-knit community devoted to honoring and sharing life's inspiring tales. With a tradition spanning over 182 years, our family has proudly served the community with unwavering compassion and dedication.
