Zen Jovon Bolinger was born on July 12, 2024, in Iowa City, Iowa, the cherished son of Natalia Bolinger and Deago Perez. Though his time here was brief, Zen left a lasting imprint of love on everyone who knew him.
He loved being gently rocked in loving arms, and although kisses on his face weren’t his favorite, he adored the sound of a familiar voice singing to him. His favorite movie was Moana, which was often played. Whether enjoying tummy time or cuddling close to his dad's chest, Zen found happiness in simple moments. With his precious smile and soft curls, he brought endless love and light to his family.
Zen is survived by his loving parents, Natalia and Deago; his siblings, Lyanna Leeson and Zion Bolinger; grandparents, Laryn Hobert and Antonio & Amanda Verduzco; great-grandparents, Juan & Marina Casco and Larry & Robyn Bolinger; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who all adored him. He now rests with his twin brother, Zane Bolinger, whose bond with Zen will remain eternal.
Though his days were few, the love Zen gave and received will be treasured forever.
