Willie E. Mason, Jr.

Willie Mason, age 21, was born on April 7, 2004, and passed away on December 30, 2025. Willie was a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend whose life, tragically far too short, but without a doubt has forever left a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved him.

Visitation is 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, immediately followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Willie’s memory.

Willie is survived by his loving mother, Joanna Mason. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Mason; his brother, Jeremiah, his uncle spud & best friend, LaTroy.

He leaves behind his siblings: his sister, Nunu; his brother, Jarah; and Tutu, Tatiana, Ashley, Andrea, Lamon, & Taiwan. Willie was a proud and loving uncle to his niece, Xirah; and his nephews, Kash, Josiah, Jamacio, jasper, Tyran, and Travarion.

He is also survived by his grandmothers, Juanita and Mary; his grandpa Brian; his aunt Julie along with many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Willie was known for being funny, loving, and fiercely protective of the ones he cared about. He could be a brat at times, but it was all part of the charm that made him unforgettable. He had a deep love for fashion and took pride in his style—especially his chains. Music played a big role in his life; he loved listening to it and, in his free time, enjoyed rapping a little of his own. He also loved playing basketball and spending meaningful moments with his loved ones.

Once Willie discovered açaí bowls, they quickly became one of his favorite things. He truly enjoyed the months he spent living in Texas, where he made lasting memories with his second family, Serena & LaTaylin, and his girlfriend Lexi - time that brought him joy, happiness & growth.
