Wayne N. Hill, Sr., 71, of East Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport, Iowa.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 18, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, beginning with military honors presented by Moline American Legion Post #246. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Private burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Animal Aid Humane Society, Moline.
Wayne Nevin Hill was born April 4, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Homer George and Frances Marie (Clarence) Hill. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and married Mary Grant on July 7, 1984, in Moline.
He graduated from the Police Academy in Springfield, Illinois, and went on to serve in law enforcement for various Illinois cities. He then worked as a forensic consultant, for Hertz Car Rental, and as an ordained minister.
Wayne was a member of the Quad Cities area Patriot Guard Riders and enjoyed politics.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hill; a son, Thomas (Kimberly) Hill of Elkhart, Indiana; a granddaughter, Jemini Hill; and his beloved kitties. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Wayne Hill, Jr.
