Wayne R. Flandrich

Wayne R. Flandrich, 80, of Davenport, Iowa, died Monday, May 22, 2023, at home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Wayne Robert Flandrich was born April 21, 1943, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Louis and Lorraine (Bahr) Flandrich, Jr.  He married Kristie Meiers on February 23, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was a truck driver for over 50 years, retiring in 2020.  He loved his job and traveling the country.  He also enjoyed playing cards, bowling, grilling out, cars of all kinds, and camping.  Above all else, family was the most important thing to Wayne.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Kristie; his children, Amanda (Richard Clark) Meiers of Maquoketa, Iowa, Serena Barr of Maquoketa, Christopher Barr of Madison, Wisconsin, Keshia Barr of Davenport, Melissa Sams of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Wayne, Katie and Robby; two grandchildren, Kaylee Lawton and Michael Chaplin, with one on the way; sisters, Linda (Larry) Moris and Lorraine (Gerald) Lutgen; and his loving dog, Skippy.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his dog, Baxter.
