Watson Harris, Jr.

Watson Harris, Jr., 75, of Muscatine, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

The family will hold a private celebration of life.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

Watson was born April 8, 1948, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late Watson Sr. and Minnie (Gay) Harris.  He was united in marriage on Julye 20, 1995, to his love, Treasa Sabin.  He was employed by IBP from 1988 until retirement in 2009.  He was an avid sports fan of Nascar, football, golf, and loved to go fishing.  Watson loved barbequing for, and spending time with, his family.

Watson is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Treasa Harris of Muscatine; Larry (Leeneen) Harris, Cedrick Harris and Michael Harris, all of Shreveport; daughters, Ashia Sabin (Trann) of Muscatine, Zena Harris (Juan) of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and Travonia Harris (Diago) of Wilton, Iowa; sister, Neva Jones (James) of Shreveport; brother, William Harris of Shreveport; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Tammy Ortiz of Muscatine, and Corina Booth of Mt. Pleasant; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Watson Sr. and Minne, Watson was preceded in death by his sister, Cardell Harris; brother, Robert Harris; brother-in-law, Bradley Booth; and father-in-law, Kenneth Wayne Sabin.
