The former Virginia Lee Clark was born August 30, 1938, in Huntingdon, Tennessee, the daughter of Thirles and Lois (Jordan) Clark. Virginia embarked on her lifelong journey alongside Odell Jones, whom she married on June 13, 1957. Together, they were blessed with five beautiful children. Though life's path led them on separate ways, their bond as parents remained steadfast. Virginia later found companionship in Thomas Williams, whom she married on July 22, 1971. From their union, they brought into the world their pride and joy, TaJuan Williams, who was the light of Virginia's life.
With a passion for beauty and care, Virginia dedicated over four decades of her life to the field of cosmetology. She began her career at Safari Into Beauty and later ventured to open her own shop in Moline alongside a dear partner, Necie McBride.
Virginia's heart overflowed with love for the simple joys of life. She found solace and delight in tending to her flowers, nurturing her plants, and admiring her collection of fish and teddy bears. A testament to her vibrant spirit, Virginia found joy in the simplicity of yardwork, finding peace in the earth beneath her fingertips.
An avid basketball enthusiast, she cheered passionately for her favorite teams, the Chicago Bulls and the Golden State Warriors.
Above all else, Virginia cherished her family. Their love was the cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength, joy, and endless memories to treasure. Her legacy of love and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Thomas Williams; six children, Cynthia Martin of East Moline, Tony (Felicia) Jones of East Moline, Lawrence (Katherine) Jones of Bettendorf, Iowa, Marvin Jones of Hampton, Illinois, William Jones of Rock Island, and TaJuan Williams of East Moline; grandchildren, Erica Jenkins, Demetrias Martin, Stacey Arnold, Jay Jones, Collin Jones, and Kendra Jones; two siblings, Sandra Dupree and Halbert Clark; and a host of great-grandchildren and extended family.
