Victor Longoria

Victor Longoria, 65, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

A gathering to celebrate Victor's life will be announced in the near future.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the family.

Victor was born December 23, 1960, in California, one of nine children born to Cruz Longoria and Josefina Grajeda. He started dating the love of his life, Diana Hartley, in 1987, and the couple shared nearly 40 years of happiness together, getting married on June 27, 2001.

Diana describes their love by saying, “You were a shining star in my life, a true gem. Your humor and smile brightened every day, and your companionship was a gift. Your loved showed me the beauty of life. The time we had shared together is forever etched in my heart and mind, your memory will never fade.”

He worked for over 20 years at Kraft Foods. He lasted about two months into retirement before his need to be busy took him to work as a sushi roller at Hy-Vee on West Locust in Davenport. He loved his job and brightened the days of both co-workers and customers alike.

Victor was a hard working man that just couldn’t stay still. When not working, he could be found working in his yard or spending time with his beloved wife, loving children, and his true pride and joy, his grandchildren. He also had a strong faith.

Victor is survived by his wife, Diana Hartley-Longoria; three children, Christina Longoria of Rock Island, and Christopher and Justin Longoria, both of Davenport; four grandchildren, Zaiden Fennell, and Mavryck, Ryker, and Maddox Gullion; siblings, Judy Medina, Dora Longoria, Della Carbajal, and Rueben Longoria, all of California, and Joe Longoria of Davenport; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws, with whom he was close. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rosa and Margaret; and a brother, Danny.
