Vicki Lynn Feddersen

Vicki Lynn Feddersen, 72, of Bryant, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in her home.
 
Per Vicki’s wishes, no services with be held. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
 
The former Vicki Lynn Untiedt was born December 29, 1950, in Davenport, Iowa, to Herbert and Dorothy (Grimm) Untiedt. Vicki spent her childhood in Davenport and attended school there. After graduating from Davenport West High School, Vicki moved to Ohio. She spent the next several years there and gave birth to two sons, Shawn and Wayne, before deciding to return to Iowa. After returning to her roots, Vicki gave birth to a daughter, Laura, and bought a home just outside of Bryant. A few years later, she met her future husband, Roger Feddersen. The two were united in marriage on July 28th, 2001 at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover. 
 
Vicki was a caring person that was always willing to help someone in need and that quality was exemplified in her career at Skyline Center in Clinton, Iowa. Vicki worked there for over 30 years before retiring as a programmer and did all that she could during that time to improve the lives of the clients that she served. She worked hard to establish meaningful relationships with her clients and their families and she maintained some of those relationships until her passing. 

As much as Vicki loved her clients, her greatest love was her family. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and was especially delighted when the kids called her “Gram”. She loved attending her children and grandchildren’s events and was only a phone call away if any of them needed anything….no matter what it was or when it was needed. She would always just spring into action and get things done. The same was true in all that she did whether it be cooking and decorating for the holildays, baking her famous fudge, crafting, gardening or working on her koi pond. Her hardwork and passion were obvious from the second you pulled into her driveway because the house and yard are filled with her labors of love. She was especially proud of her koi and she spent countless hours sitting by her pond enjoying them. In addition to all that she has done to the house and yard, Vicki recently began a spiritual journey. She chose to be baptized on May 25th, 2023 and began doing bible studies online. 
 
Vicki is survived by her husband, Roger; two children, Wayne Boyer of Columbus, Ohio, and Laura Boyer of Clinton, Iowa; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and her mother-in-law, Hilda Feddersen of  Maquoketa, Iowa. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Dorothy Untiedt and her son, Shawn Boyer.
