Anna L. Cope, 80, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Sunday, October 9, 2011, in Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, 601 21st Street, Moline, Illinois. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
The former Anna Louise Welsch was born July 8, 1931, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Bernice Moody Welsch. She married Lee A. Cope in 1950, in East Moline. She loved baking, and baked pies for Pies and Such, Hampton, Illinois for several years. She had been an election judge and a former member of Coal Valley PTA.
Anna is survived by her husband, Lee; a son, Phil Cope of Moline; three grandchildren, Nicki, Christine, and Michael Cope; two great- grandchildren; two brothers, Orville and Peanuts; and a step-sister, Buttons.
