Troy L. Sterner

Troy L. Sterner, 54, of Davenport, Iowa, passed Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Ivy of Davenport.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline.

Troy Leslie Sterner was born on January 14, 1972, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of David and Sharon (Walker) Sterner. He attended Wilton High School and went on to work in concrete construction for more than 25 years with various contractors.

Troy appreciated the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wetland conservation. He was also an avid member of Ducks Unlimited.

Troy is survived by his sons, William Sterner of Muscatine, Iowa, Ryan Sterner of Lowden, Iowa, and Steven Blanchard of Wilton, Iowa; grandchildren, Penelope Sterner, Lucille Sterner, Edith Blanchard, and Lennon Blanchard; siblings, Raymond Sterner, Travis Sterner, and Wanetta (Sue) Dykema-Sterner; an aunt, Denise Salemink; and former wife and friend, Pam Sterner. He was preceded in death by his parents and his dog, Yegrette.
