Tony L. Cox, 53, of Davenport, Iowa, passed on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5 at Hope Church in Bettendorf, Iowa. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Funeral Home and Crematory, Moline. Memorials may be made to Amy Dawson for a fund to be established for Tony’s daughter, Abigail. 

Tony Lee Cox was born on June 5, 1972, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Ivan and Lana (Davis) Cox, Sr. Following graduation in 1991 at West High School, he worked in a variety of careers, including construction and quality assurance at FedEx.

Tony was a member of Hope Church in Bettendorf, Iowa. He also spent time in Mississippi completing missionary work, reflecting his generous and compassionate spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, or a few dollars, to anyone in need. Above all else, Tony treasured his family, especially his daughter, Abigail, who was the center of his world. Although she kept him on his toes, he could always be found taking her to the park, swimming pool, or wherever else she desired.

Tony is survived by his beloved daughter, Abigail Cox; son, Bryson (Megan) Adcock; two grandchildren; mother, Lana Cox; siblings, Russell, Amy (Brian), Kimberly, Timothy, Terri, Kerry “George”, Kelly Jo, and Ivan “Ike” II; aunt, Sharon West; nieces and nephews, Adam (Carleigh), Gage (Alexia), Katie, Ivan, Thomas, Carissa, and Jackson; great-nieces, Hazel, Evelyn, and Thora; and former wife, Amanda. He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Lee Cox, Sr.; grandparents, Frank Davis, Homer West, and Wilma West; and a cousin, Ronald Hansel.
