Thomas R. Cady

Thomas R. Cady, 68, of Milan, Illinois, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

There will be no public services. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

Thomas Roland Cady was born September 16, 1957, in Galesburg, Illinois. He was the son of Douglas and Virginia (Ash) Cady. He graduated from York Community High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. He married Rhonda Ham on August 15, 1981, in Aledo, Illinois, and the couple shared 36 years together and had two children. Even though the couple separated, they remained good friends.

He enjoyed his years working on the family farm in Preemption, Illinois, along with his brother, Steve, before spending the rest of his career working as a mechanic at several companies including CBD Utility Contractors. Tom loved motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidson, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Tom is survived by two children, Ashley (Casey) Greer of Seaton, Illinois, and Alex Cady of Aledo, Illinois; his grandson, Gunner Greer; brother, Steve (Sherree) Cady of Milan; nephews, Ryan (Emily) Cady, and Nathan Cady; and a special friend, Marianne. He was preceded in death by his parents.
