Thelma O. “Carole” Heath, 84, of Silvis, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
There will be no public services at this time. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Children’s Advocacy Center.
Thelma Olivia Wallen was born March 4, 1942, in Bismarck, Missouri, the daughter of Edgar Russell and Thelma “Lucille” (Cline) Wallen. On July 26, 1962, she married the love of her life, William “Tom” Heath, in Sikeston, Missouri.
Carole devoted much of her life to caring for her family, always taking great pride in the home and family she built with Tom. She also enjoyed a 52-year career selling Avon. A terrific cook, Carole will be especially remembered for her homemade candy and cheesecake.
Carole is survived by her beloved husband of over 64 years, Tom; two daughters, Laura Carson of Moline, and Paula (Wayne) Staples of Livermore, California; four grandchildren, Courtney and Kendall Carson, and Heath and Emily VanDeventer; and three sisters, Pat Landers and Esther (Jack) Watkins, both of Sikeston, and Karen (Dick) Moore of East Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jacob Carson; and brother-in-law, Bob Landers.
