Thekla Kathleen Baumhardt was born April 11, 1954, in Moline, the daughter of Leo Sr. and Edith Odell (Burns) Baumhardt. She married the love of her life, Tim Mowery, on July 21, 1994, in Davenport.

Kathy took great pride in being a homemaker and mother to her four children, who were her true pride and joy. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including yard sales, shopping on Temu, playing solitaire, and singing karaoke. In her younger years, she loved camping and dancing. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Kathy. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were truly the lights of her life.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Tim; four children, Alan David (Brenda) Scroggins, Sr. of Stanford, Illinois, Douglas Wendell (Amanda) Scroggins of Donahue, Iowa, Chantel (Garry) Mowery of Davenport, and Medchen Janay Leola (Jon) Parker of Davenport; nine grandchildren, Alan David Scroggins, Jr., David Wayne, Adalynn, and Dawson Scroggins, Dakota and Montana Mowery, and Brody, Isabella, and James Achey; many beloved great-grandchildren; her siblings, Saundra Ceballos, Terry (Phoenix) Childers, and Benno Baumhardt; sister-in-law, Kimberly Baumhardt; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Harold Brewer, Richard Baumhardt, Leo Baumhardt, Jr., and Susan Blanford; and brother-in-law, Rico Ceballos.
