Terry L. Kellum

Terry Lynn Kellum, 70, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Meadowview of Davenport.

A celebration of life is being planned for June, details to come. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Terry was born on April 28, 1955, in Macomb, Illinois, the son of Howard David and Dorothy Allyne (Ayers) Kellum. He spent 40 years living in Texas before relocating near family upon his dementia diagnosis to the Quad Cities.

Born in Macomb, Terry was a lifelong sports enthusiast and a dedicated athlete. He attended Monmouth College, where he played both basketball and baseball, and later continued his education in graduate school in Louisiana. Terry’s love of sports extended beyond his college years; he was also an avid golfer who cherished time on the course.

Terry is survived by his two daughters, Katie (Chris) and Libby (Tayler); two grandchildren, Ross and Ruby; and his loyal dog, Walter. He is also survived by one sister, Connie and two brothers, John & Joe. Preceding him in death were his parents, Howard & Dorothy Kellum and 9 of his siblings.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terry’s memory to the K9 Kindness of Bettendorf, IA, who graciously brought their rescues as therapy animals over the last few years to Meadowview, his final home.
