Susan J. Clark, 84, of East Moline, Illinois, died Monday, May 26, 2025, at Celebrate Senior Living of Moline.
Private family services will be held. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Burial is in Haines Cemetery, Centerville, Iowa. Memorials may be made to UnityPoint Hospice.
The former Susan Jane Bell was born July 5, 1940, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Fay and Claire (Johnson) Bell. She married Alan Clark on September 30, 1961, in Davenport, Iowa. The couple had five beloved children and shared 46 wonderful years together prior to Al’s passing in 2007.
Sue enjoyed reading and watching crime dramas and food shows on television. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Chris (Rick) Gosney of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, Brad (Cindy) Clark of Lebanon, Indiana, Lisa Clark of East Moline, and Adam Clark of East Moline; grandchildren, Jordan (Anna) Gosney, Lucas (Morgan) Gosney, Callie Gosney, Rick (Shana) Clark, Christy Clark, Heather (Kat Miller) Clark, Joshua (Stephanie Kieffer) Woodworth, Allissa (Ethan) Oleson, and Bradley Clark; and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Oliver and Eleanor Gosney, Sawyer and Olivia Clark, Carter and Skylar Stone, Riley and Kaylynn Woodworth, and Maddie and Sophie Kieffer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Al Clark; and her daughter, Julie Clark.
The family would like to give special thanks to UnityPoint Hospice (especially Amanda and Mark), Alternatives (especially Barb), and the entire staff at Celebrate of Moline for the wonderful care given to Sue.
