Susan A. Brady

Susan A. Brady, 58, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Friday, September 30, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City.

Celebration of Life services are 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Grace Bible Fellowship, Moline, with The Rev. Donnie Plemons officiating. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family, for a fund to be established in Susan’s memory.

The former Susan Ann Vallandingham was born September 6, 1964, the daughter of Jack Lee Vallandingham and Ruth Ann (Scott) Barkley (John Barkley). She married Jesse Brady, with whom she had two children before separating. He preceded her in death.

Susan had a passion for art in many forms. She loved to spend her time painting, crafting, and writing poems. In the proceeding months Susan’s health declined but she still kept doing the things she loved. She had a wonderful spirit and could make anyone laugh. She also had two fur babies that she doted on.

She is survived by two children, Johanna Brady of Rock Island, and Lance Brady of Davenport; three grandchildren, Joshua, Maddox, and Annalee Scott; and sisters, Josette Barkley of Des Moines, Iowa, and Sarah Barkley of Overland Park, Kansas. She was survived by her special friend James Roberts as well.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
