Steven M. Wollett I

Steven M. Wollett I, 52, of Davenport, Iowa, passed Sunday, August 2, 2026.

There will be no services at this time. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Steven Michael Wollett I was born on January 21, 1974, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Michael William and Sharon (Mingee) Wollett. He married Jody Abbott on July 8, 1995, in Davenport, Iowa, and together they shared 31 years.

He had a lifelong passion for flying and especially cherished taking his first grandson, Wayland, into the skies with him. The Quad City Airshow became a treasured family tradition, creating lasting memories with the boys each year. He also loved spending time deer hunting with Christopher and Mark. Above all else, Steven's greatest joy was his grandsons. The arrival of his newest grandson, Draco, brought him lots of joy.

Steven is survived by his wife, Jody Wollett; children, Steven Wollett II and Destany Wollett; grandsons, Wayland Michael Evans Wollett and Draco Deon Richardson; sister-in-law, Hope Scarsella; and childhood friends, Mike Benham and Mark Kronfield. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Known affectionately as "Dork" by his sister-in-law, Hope, Steven will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His grandson, Wayland, has one final message: “Fly the Jet high to heaven and see Papa Abbott.”
