Steven Michael Smith

Steven “Mike” Smith, 44, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

Steven Michael Smith was born August 15, 1980, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Steven and Peggy (Wendt) Smith. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, remodeling homes and hosting bonfires. Mike found great solace within his friends and family and above all else protected the ones he loved.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy (Rodney) Mattson; his father, Steven (Kathy) Smith; and his siblings, Amber (Peter) Ligotti, Kameron Mattson, Kyle Mattson, Kevin Mattson, Kalie Mattson and Drake (Autumn) Fuller. He is preceded in death by his sister, Kaitlynn Mattson; his grandfather, Donald Wendt; his grandmother, Margaret Smith; and his aunt, Roxanne Smith.
