February 17, 1961 — June 21, 2024

Rock Island, Illinois

Ronald “Poppy” Reveal, 63, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, followed by Military Honors. Memorials may be given to The American Legion Post 227, East Moline.

Ron was born in Moline, IL to Charles & Sandra Reveal on February 17, 1961. He proudly joined the US Navy after high school. He married Cyndi Sherman on July 23, 2016, in Colona, IL.

He worked in the social services field, retiring in 2024 from New Choices Inc. Bettendorf Iowa, after several years of care and love for the people he served. He was a veteran of The Cold War serving with the United States Navy. Ron spent his free time riding motorcycles for several charities and organizations, served as a Motorcycle Course Safety Instructor and many more events for fun. Ron was the Sergeant at Arms for The American Legion Post 227, East Moline.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Sandra. Ron is survived by wife, Cyndi; daughter, Lindsay Reveal; brothers, Ted (Berniece) Reveal and David (Denny) Gebhardt; and his stepmother, Marilyn Reveal. Rons pride and joy was his 3 grandchildren, Isis Hook, and Craig & Caitlyn Carty; and 2 stepsons, Tanner and Jacob Hamburg; which he always referred to as his “5 Ducks”.

Ron had an extended family of the Carty’s and Gingry’s (there’s too many to list!) and a whole community of motorcyclists whom he spent many holidays, backyard parties, laughter and overwhelming love. The family of Ron wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the ones that supported, assisted, and guided him on his last ride.

“Keep 2 down”.
