Ronald L. Newenham

Ronald L. Newenham, 87, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at home.

Graveside services are 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 5, at Moline Memorial Park, with Rev. Dr. Flint Miller officiating. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Moline.

Ronald Lee Newenham was born October 9, 1938, in Moline, the son of Glen and Maude (Stone) Newenham. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and went on to marry the love of his life, Willie Bernice Oakley, on August 3, 1974, in Moline. She died January 11, 2023.

Ron worked as a locomotive engineer for Rock Island Lines for over 25 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Moline, and enjoyed trapshooting.

Ron is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie; his parents; brothers, Harold and Kenneth Newenham; and sisters, Wanda Collier, Imogene Wilkes, and Karen Newenham.
