Ronald Bernard Hudson was born November 18, 1932, in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of Everett and Margaret (Fox) Hudson. He was proud to be part of the very first graduating class of Alleman High School in 1950. Following high school, Ronald honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a proud member of the U.S. Army Golden Gloves.

In 1984, he married the love of his life, Christine Ferguson, with whom he shared many happy years until her passing on May 31, 2024. The two are now reunited.

Ronald owned and operated Hudson Barber Shop in Rock Island for more than 60 years. Even after retiring, he continued to share his talents, offering haircuts from his front porch for friends and neighbors. He loved his work and the people it brought into his life.

He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island, Illinois. He enjoyed golfing in his younger years, even teaching his father to golf. He also was an avid swimmer and runner, completing many marathons.

Ronald is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (Rick John) Theofilis, Pam McCutcheon, and Lori (Gary) Barr; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Connie Kahley. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; daughters, Julie Valentine and Kathi Sweeney; and his parents.
