Ronald D. Bales

Ronald D. Bales, 67, of Milan, Illinois, died Friday, March 22, 2024, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

A gathering to celebrate Ron’s life will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, at his daughter, Annie’s house, 1605 31^st Street A Moline, Illinois.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

Ronald Dean Bales was born February 18, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Donna (Smith) Bales.  He married Meldoy Stoneburg, with whom he remained close.  He later married Brenda Sales.

Ronnie enjoyed working on cars, which he called “twisting wrenches”, and loved his dog, Baby.

He is survived by his daughters, Andrea “Annie” (Joshua Davies) Anderson, Ashley McCray, Amanda (Adam) Short, Amy Bales, and Danielle George; several grandchildren including Harrison and Alanna Anderson; his siblings, Linda (George Aguirre) Mortimore and Randy (Lila) Bales; his uncle, Terry Franzen; and a niece and nephew, Lisa Bales and Raymond Bales III.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Raymond Bales, Jr.; and his best friend, Michael Eisentrager.
