Roger W. Humphreys, 77, of East Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, December 12, 2020, in Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, Illinois surrounded by his family.

A family directed Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, Moline IL. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for an end of life memorial fund.

Roger Wayne Humphreys was born August 8, 1943, in Galesburg, Illinois, to Richard T. and Vivian (Derham) Humphreys. He served 8 years in the Army National Guard with the 863rd Engineer Battalion. His work passion was working for the BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe) Railroad and retired after 43 years of service.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle to the local watering hole. He was a father figure to not only his children but to many others who came to know him. And he was a member of the Maquon, Il Masonic Lodge.

Roger is survived by three children, Heidi Humphreys (Shawn Baumgartner) of Roach, Missouri, Stephanie Morthland and her husband Tim of Creve Coeur, Illinois, and Travis Humphreys of East Moline, Illinois. 6 Grandchild Kendra Davis, Cody Cramlett, Caleb Cramlett, Lily Morthland, Gabriel Morthland, Isabella Morthland and 3 Great Grandchildren Aiden Davis, Payton Cramlett, Paisley Cramlett. And his old brother Jim Humphreys married to Linda Humphreys.
