Remo K. Brooks

Remo K. Brooks, 41, of Davenport, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial is in Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. There will be a family gathering at the Golden Corral in Davenport immediately following burial. Memorials may be made to the family.

Born on April 27, 1981, Remo Kahseam Brooks was born to Mr. Will Overstreet & Yvonne Marie Brooks in Davenport, Iowa. He was a graduate of Central High School in the summer of 1999.

Remo enjoyed making people laugh through the use of Facebook. He would search and find something he thought was strange and put humor to it and send it out for everyone to respond to. People would post their thoughts about it and this continued. It got to the point that everyone was waiting to see what he would come up with next. He took special request about topics and would send out funny video that would have you laughing and telling everybody about it. Before you know it those videos would be seen in the Quad Cities and various places outside the Quad Cities. Remo’s gift was communication and with that he brought joy to everyone he come in contact with.

Remo was a loving person who would let you know that he loves you. He always would voice out loud how he loves his family and friends.

He was hardworking, caring, loving and he had the ability to make you laugh at any given moment. There are many ways to serve and to his credit he did it his way and on his terms. Remo will remain forever thankful for the time he shared with us on this earth.

Preceding Remo in death is his grandmother Joann Brooks and his uncles Johnny and Toney Brooks. He leaves to cherish his memories: Mother Yvonne Brooks (Davenport Iowa) Dad Will Overstreet (Omaha Nebraska), Step Dad Dennis Drummond (Davenport Iowa), Grandfather Willie Holmes (Barbara) (Rock Island Illinois) Grandmother Gerada Buckner Robinson (Burlington, Iowa) Daughter Tavia Young (Davenport Iowa) Son Najeei Brooks (Davenport Iowa) Daughter Aundrea Samson (Davenport Iowa) Son Tatum Brooks (Davenport Iowa) and the love of his life Grandson Isaiah Young-Litt (Davenport Iowa). Brothers James Brooks (Rose) (Davenport, Iowa) Will Brooks (Davenport Iowa) and Deauntre Smith (Minnesota). He was blessed to have tons of Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends that loved him dearly.
