Randal L. DeMeyer

Randal DeMeyer, 63, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, December 8, 2023, in his home.

Graveside services with military honors are 9:30 a.m. Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery.  Those wishing to attend should meet at Memorial Christian Church, 1624 Avenue of the Cities, Moline, no later than 9:10 to process to the cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 Friday, with a memorial service following at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Kenneth Kline and The Rev. Sylvia Larssen will officiate. Memorials may be made to the church.

Randal Leroy DeMeyer was born January 11, 1960, in Rheinlander, Wisconsin, to Helmer and Karen (Molzner) DeMeyer.  He married Jeanne Offerman Linden on July 17, 2017, in Moline.  He served in the US Army and worked at Walmart in Davenport. He was a member of Memorial Christian Church, was a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan, and enjoyed golf, pool, and fishing. He had a special bond with with their cat, Sandy.

Randy is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his mother, Karen Bushman of Mountain Home, Arkansas; son and daughter-in-law, Randal Jr. and Sarah DeMeyer of Clinton, Iowa; daughter, Abeni DeMeyer of Clinton; granddaughter, Miranda DeMeyer; step-son Justin Stinocher of Davenport; and siblings, Lance DeMeyer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lavonne DeMeyer of Mountain Home, Kevin DeMeyer of Merritt Island, Florida, Jeff DeMeyer of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Kirk DeMeyer of Calico Rock, Arkansas, and Dana DeZarn of Florida.  He was preceded in death by a son, Peter Engleson.
