Peggy M. Compton

Peggy M. Compton, 52, of Davenport, Iowa, died Friday, March 22, 2024, at Aspire of Pleasant Valley.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.  Donations in Peggy’s memory may be made to King’s Harvest Pet Rescue, 2504 W Central Park Ave. Davenport, IA 52804.

The former Peggy Marie Matejeck was born June 28, 1971, the daughter of Albert and Evelyn (Martin) Matejeck.  She married the love of her life, Edward Compton, on June 28, 2016.

She enjoyed watching the cooking channel on television and spending time with her husband and dogs.

Peggy is survived by her beloved husband, Edward; her two loving dogs, Hope Marie and Lexi May; and siblings, Cynthia Fisher, Thomas Matejcek, Anthony Matejcek, and Timothy Matejcek.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Elizabeth, Dennis and Albert Jr. Matejcek; and Pamela Kososki.
