Patricia L. Wakefield

Patricia L. Wakefield, 56, of East Moline, Illinois, passed Monday, February 23, 2026, at Generations at Rock Island, finally getting the much-needed rest she so deserved.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.

The former, Patricia Lynn Arney was born on January 15, 1970, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Jim Arney and Sharlene VanWatermeulen. She married Robert Bean, and later married Glen Wakefield, with whom she shared many years of her life.

She was a woman of many talents, including working as a paralegal, server, and cooking. Her love made each dish taste unmatchable, including her homemade potato salad. She found happiness in the outdoors, whether camping, enjoying family gatherings, or attending concerts. Music, in all its forms, filled her heart, and above all, she treasured time with her family.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Glen Wakefield of East Moline, Illinois; beloved daughter, Brianna (Jake) Cole of Glendale, Arizona; grandchildren, Hayden, Baylee, Gracee, and Ashlynn; and her brother, Tim Arney. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Arney; and her mother and step-father, Wendall and Sharlene Barnes.

Her warmth, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and now she rests peacefully, free from all cares.
