Patricia J. Melton

Patricia J. “Pat” Melton, 73, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, April 3, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

Private family services will be held.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.  Private burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery.

The former Patricia Jean Laurie was born February 19, 1950, in Moline, the daughter of William and Lillian “Louise” (McIntosh) Laurie.  She married the love of her life, Jay Melton, on April 16, 1966, in Moline.  

Pat worked as office manager for Oakwood Realty for many years.  Previously, she had worked at the Licorice Factory, Moline.

She enjoyed listening to music and planting flowers.  Above all else, family was the most important thing to Pat, and she especially loved playing cards and games with them. 

Pat is survived by her beloved husband, Jay; three daughters, Jennifer Melton, Stacie (Shayne Fuller) Melton, and Tammy Melton, all of Moline; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Connie Tittle, and two brothers, Carl and Carrol Foster.
