Patricia Ann Saddoris

Patricia Ann (Pat) Saddoris, 89, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, November 3, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

The former Pat Matthews was born April 22, 1933, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Harold and Ruby (Anderson) Matthews. She married Richard (Dick) Saddoris on January 31, 1952, in Lincoln NE. He died April 14, 2022. Pat graduated from Northeast High School in Lincoln, NE and attended University of Nebraska, Lincoln and also Western Illinois University. Pat was a homemaker and worked at the Warren Achievement Center with disabled children. She also worked along side her husband at their physical therapy business as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved all music especially jazz, blues and her favorite Jimmy Buffet. Pat and Dick loved boating on the Mississippi and lake life in northern Minnesota. In retirement and before, they built their dream cabin and summered at Lake Vermilion where Pat enjoyed watching birds especially the loons in the bay where Pat was known for her famous loon call. They also wintered in southern Texas.

Those left to cherish Pat’s memory are her children, Tom (Heidi) Saddoris, Tad Saddoris, Terri (Tor) Menke, and Tracy (Marty) Strandberg; her sister-in-law Lois Mathews and her grandchildren, Alicia Saddoris, Sam Link, Matthew Saddoris, Colton Menke, Amber Link, Holly (Link) Scott, Raegan Menke, Ruby Saddoris, Lilly Saddoris, Nate Strandberg, Gabe Strandberg; and three great grandchildren, Ellie, David and Zayla.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Don.

There are no scheduled services as her wishes are to have a family remembrance at the lake.
