Noreen Warner

Noreen Y. Warner, 83, formerly of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Monday, July 3, 2023, in UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Illinois.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley, with The Rev. David Anderson officiating. Visitation is one hour before the service at the church. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, and burial will be in Coal Valley Cemetery. Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley, is in charge of services. Memorials may be made to the church.

The former Noreen Yvonne Stanford was born May 6, 1940, in Montezuma, Iowa, to Carl J. and Nancy (Playle) Stanford.  She married Gerald E. Warner on August 14, 1965, in Coal Valley.  He died May 8, 1979.  She was a dietary aide at Parkview Terrace Nursing Home, East Moline, and had worked for Moline School District #40 and Dan-A-Way Bus Service.  She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was past secretary of the Mary Martha Guild and a member of the Altar Guild.

Noreen is survived by two daughters, Kelli Mills and her husband Jeff of Rock Island, and Linda Drugsvold of Norfolk, Nebraska; a stepson, Michael Warner and his wife Betsy of Granger, Indiana; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nadine Frank of Morning Sun, Iowa.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, Robert Stanford and Gail Shumak; and a grandson, Jeremy Wilson.
