Minnie Kate Jarvis

Minnie Kate Jarvis, 79, of Williamsfield, Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria, Illinois.

Visitation is 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Rev. Zoila Marty will officiate. Cremation will take place after services at Trimble Crematory. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Minnie’s memory.

Minnie was born August 24, 1946, in Mississippi, the daughter of Marjorie (Clark) Bragg and Archie Eave. She married the love of her life, Bruce Jarvis, on January 6, 1996, in Newport News, Virginia, and together the couple shared a marriage full of happiness and love.

Kate was a member of Williamsfield United Methodist Church. She was raised by a mother who stressed the importance of a clean house, and she continued her mother’s legacy in that regard. Most of all, she was a loving wife and cherished every moment spent with her loving husband, Bruce.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bruce; siblings, Ora Bragg of Chicago, Oliver (Brenda) Bragg of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Wynell Bragg of Bettendorf, Iowa; a step-son, Bruce Lee Hayes; step-grandchildren, Deonna, Kenya, Zikeya, Urell, Angie, Shawn, Crystal, Brittany, and Gene; nieces and nephews, Archie, Alicia, Nakisha, Cecilia, Dale, and Randy; as well as a host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Rome; mother, Marjorie Bartl; and siblings, Majoria Bragg, Ezekiel Bragg, Jr., Randall Bragg, Emma Ann Bragg, James Fred Bragg, Lillie Bragg, and Rufus Bragg.
