Michael J Rickey

Michael J. Rickey, of Muscatine, Iowa, died Monday, October 17, 2022, at home.

A celebration of life will be held November 13, 2022, from 1 PM – 4 PM, at Island Methodist Church, Muscatine, Iowa. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Michael was born December 8, 1948, in Fairfield, Iowa, to James and Gertrude (Pole) Rickey. He married Neva Markham in 1969, and they had two children (Mark, and April).

Michael worked at Bandag Inc. for 37 years, and was a member of Island Methodist Church.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, playing and watching football, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Neva Rickey; children, Mark Rickey, and April Rickey; grandchildren, Melodie Peak, Anthony Peak, Brianna Witkoske, and Abigail Witkoske; great-grandchildren, Isaac Rodriguez, Lucas Rodriguez, Nolan Rodriguez, Owen Peak, and Olyvia Peak; His sibilings, Barb Johnson, Daniel Rickey, Dave Rickey, and Diane Rickey. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Linda Chapman, and Collen Wheeler.
