Maureen Morley

Maureen A. Morley, 79, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen, Texas.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services. Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley, is assisting the family.

The former Maureen Alyce Dow was born August 27, 1945, in Springfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Enwright) Dow. She married the love of her life, Kendall Gene Morley on March 3, 1962, in Rock Island, Illinois.

She had many jobs in her life but most recently worked as a dealer at the Rhythm City Casino. Her passions were reading and her family. She always had a book in front of her and loved nothing more than spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Maureen is survived by her husband, Kendall; three children, Shellie (Brian Scott) Jensen of Moline, Brian (Becky) Morley of Sherrard, Illinois, and Terri (Derek) Stanger of Davenport, Iowa; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Dow of Springfield, Massachusetts; and her mother-in-law, Pauline Shroyer of Coal Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Eddie, Patrick and Jimmy Dow.
