Marilyn J. Brown

Marilyn J. Brown, 87, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Harmony Davenport.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Marilyn Joann Fiser was born on May 3, 1939, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of Charles Pete Fiser and Dorothy (Leisure) Entwistle.

She enjoyed many things throughout her life, including listening to Elvis, watching The Lion King and John Wayne movies, cheering on Rusty Wallace, the Chicago Bulls, and the Dallas Cowboys, as well as quilting, sewing, and fishing. She also cherished the companionship of her beloved cats.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Patricia Weiting and James Brown; grandchildren, Ashley and Lauren; great-grandson, Elliot; sister, Sharon Mee; nieces, Kathy and Tonya; and her cat, Sassy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles P. Fiser and Dorothy Entwistle; brothers, Tom Hoffman, Bill Hoffman, and Charles R. Fiser; sister, Margaret Kaskadden; and her beloved cat, Holly.
