Milan, Illinois Marie M. Redecker, 89, of Milan, Illinois, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at home. Services are 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, and 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley. The Reverend Richard Bresnahan will officiate. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the church or American Cancer Society. The former Marie Magdalene Deisenroth was born June 26, 1912, in Rock Island, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Froeliger) Deisenroth. She married Raymond H. Redecker on March 30, 1940, in Rock Island. He died February 20, 1987. Prior to her marriage, she worked at Modern Woodmen of America, Rock Island. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley, and the Ladies Guild of the church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, doing crafts, and spending time with her family. Marie is survived by six children and their spouses, Rosalie and Oliver Dykeman of Cambridge, Raymond B. Redecker of Cambridge, Marie and Leo Maciolek of Moline, Patricia Redecker of Milan, Gary and Suzanne Redecker of Watertown, Wisconsin, and Jacqueline and John Esser of Geneseo; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Henry, a grandson, Andrew, and a brother, William Deisenroth.
