Margaret M. Dusa-Day, 73, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026, at The Summit of Bettendorf.

Services will be held at a later date at St. Joan of Arc Parish, Vianney Campus in Bettendorf. Services will be updated on Marg’s obituary as soon as they are scheduled. Burial is in Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, Illinois. Memorials may be made to St. Joan of Arc Parish or St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, Illinois. Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline is entrusted with arrangements.

Margaret Marie Dusa was born June 11, 1953, in Joliet, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Stariha) Dusa. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and Master’s Dgree from Northern Illinois University. She devoted 26½ years to teaching social studies and psychology at Rich Central High School in Joliet. She also enjoyed putting her creative talents to work in graphic design at Craig Bachman Imports in Frankfort, Illinois.

Marg found her greatest joy in the life she shared with her husband, Gregory Day, whom she married on May 19, 1990, in Rockdale, Illinois. Their more than 36 years together were filled with their shared love of music and the happiness they found in their daughter, Tamara, and later, their son-in-law, Will.

She loved writing music and lyrics with her husband, and together they had 55 songs copyrighted. She also enjoyed decorating, reading and writing, and spending time with arts and crafts, especially scrapbooking. She had a particular fondness for the color yellow.

Marg is survived by her loving husband, Gregory Day; and her daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Will Berry of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Arleen Stahl.
