Marcia E. Meinert, 71, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Bettendorf.

A visitation to celebrate Marcia’s life will be 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Memorials may be made to Humility of Mary or the River Bend Food Bank.

The former Marica Ellen Frett was born November 22, 1954, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Vincent and Margaret Mary (McDevitt) Frett. She graduated from Clinton High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in business from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, graduating Summa Cum Laude in December of 2019.

She married the love of her life, Foster Meinert, on October 14, 1989, in Bettendorf. The couple shared more than 36 years of happy marriage and loved traveling together, creating lasting memories on trips to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Ireland, Hawaii, and Alaska, among others.

Marcia spent most of her career working as a human resources director and retired from the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend.

She enjoyed cross-stitching and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Marcia. Her most cherished title was “Grandma,” and she faithfully followed all of her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.

Marica is survived by her husband, Foster; four children, Tim (Kim) Meinert of Social Circle, Georgia, Bruce (Angie) Meinert of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Ronee Honeycutt of Milan, and Jeremy Goffe of Milan; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; siblings, Jerry (Mary Lou) Frett, Mary Ann (Mark) Rauter, Kathleen (Tom) Cotton, and Maureen (Bart) Vander Bleek; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
