Makenna Lynn Holderfield

Makenna Lynn Holderfield, 3-week-old daughter of Melissa and Mike Holderfield of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, October 29, 2021, in OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Pastor Luke Friedline officiating. A hospitality gathering will follow until 5 p.m. in the CityView Room on the lower level at Trimble Pointe. Cremation will follow the services at Trimble Crematory. Memorials may be made to the family.

Makenna was born October 7, 2021, in Peoria, to Michael and Melissa (Watkins-Schoenig) Holderfield. Her parents honored her in death by donating needed organs to Gift of Hope and her legacy will live on in the two other babies whose lives were saved because of the donation.

She is survived by her parents; her brother, Michael Holderfield, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Sheree Erwin of Coal Valley, Illinois; maternal grandparents, Rachel and Christopher Watkins of Chariton, Iowa; maternal great-grandparents, Marylu and David Watkins of Moscow, Iowa, and Chris Schoenig of Wilton, Iowa; paternal great-grandparents, Jackie and Kermith Pfaff of Geneseo, Illinois, and Helen Holderfield of Moline; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Danny Holderfield, Christopher Erwin, and Richard Schoenig.
