Lyle E. Thoene

Lyle Eugene Thoene, 72, of Yates Center, Kansas, died February 23, 2024, at the KU Medical Center.

Graveside services are 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors.   Those wishing to attend should meet in the parking lot at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline, at 11:15 a.m.  

Lyle was born on August 7, 1951 in Davenport, Iowa to Ralph and Sophie (Ruchotzke) Thoene.

Lyle was an Army Veteran.

Lyle is preceded in death by his wife, Darlene (Bett), his parents, Ralph and Sophie, as well as a brother, Dennis Thoene.

Lyle is survived by close friend, James Lewis, as well as his siblings, Robert Thoene, Judy Tillman, Bruce Thoene, and Darrell Thoene.
