Louise D. Latham, 70, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, June 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Services to celebrate Louise’s life will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Louise Denise Fisher was born July 13, 1955, in Davenport, the daughter of Frank Ray Sr. and Deloris Lavina (Tucker) Fisher. On December 31, 1972, she married the love of her life, Rex Latham, in Davenport. Together they shared more than 53 years of happiness.

Louise began her career at The Schebler Company before finding her calling in the Walcott School District. For more than 30 years, she served as the head cook at Walcott K-8 School, where she cared for students with the same warmth and kindness she showed to everyone she met.

She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, camping, and gardening. Louise found simple joy in watching squirrels and birds visit her yard. She was also an avid automobile enthusiast, with a special fondness for the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Above all, Louise treasured her family. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life.

Louise is survived by her beloved husband, Rex; three children, Rex (Terri) Latham II, Wendy Latham, and Melinda Latham, all of Davenport; eight grandchildren, Kylie, Maia, and Eli Latham, Denise (Zach) Ortega, Dale Kunce, Moxan Kunce, Scott Latham, Joshua Strother, Natalie Haines, and Carter Latham; and four great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Judy, Antonio, Kimberly, and Dominic. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Frank, Patty and Paula.
