Lori-Jo A. Arens

Lori-Jo A. Arens, 65, of Davenport, Iowa, passed Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Harmony Davenport.

Cremation will be directed by Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Lori-Jo Anne Arens was born January 31, 1961, in Spokane, Washington, the daughter of Gordon and Patricia (Harrington) Cribby. Growing up she attended schools in Utah and California.

A lover of Jesus from childhood, Lori-Jo was full of life and gregariously filled every room she entered with laughter and noise.

From early adulthood Lori-Jo was on the move. Spirited and confident in her ability to do so, she relocated to cities in Mississippi, South Dakota, Oregon, California, and Washington. A hard worker, Lori-Jo secured jobs in various industries, finding her niche in intermodal transportation. She walked beaches, climbed mountains, and explored wherever she lived.

Due to declining health, Lori-Jo came to Iowa in 2019 to live near family. She found a home at Living Hope Community Church. She loved music, was a self-taught guitarist, and truly loved being a part of Living Hope’s worship team.

In 2023 Lori-Jo moved to Harmony at Davenport, where she made many friends. There she crocheted, made crafts & jewelry, and spoke to any and all about Jesus, lover of her soul.

Lori-Jo is survived by sisters, Sandi McDonald, Spokane, Washington and Toni Cribby(David Walter), Davenport; nieces Carol Spackman, Wesley Chapel, Florida, Thalassa Walter, Davenport; nephews Shawn Welty, Spokane, Washington, Nathaniel Walter, Moline, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon LeDuc Cribby and Patricia (Harrington) Cribby.

A celebration of life service will be held at Living Hope Community Church in Davenport, time to be determined.
