Linda M. Price

Linda M. Price, 56, of Colona, Illinois, died Sunday, June 11, 2023, at her son’s home in Dubuque, Iowa.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, with a time of sharing at 4:00 p.m. in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline. The celebration of Linda’s life will continue with food and drinks immediately following at CityView Celebrations on the lower level of Trimble Pointe.  Friends are invited to dress in their favorite tropical travel clothing or traditional funeral attire.  Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Linda’s memory.

The former Linda Margaret Halsted was born June 8, 1967, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Gary and Carolyn (Bogart) Halsted.  She married Gary Alexander Price on November 17, 1984, in Moline.  He passed away December 30, 2022.

She earned her nursing degree from Black Hawk College and truly enjoyed her career in nursing, working most recently for Genesis Health System.  She was very good at keeping her husband, Gary, in line.  She also enjoyed going to the beach and fruity drinks with umbrellas in them.  Above all else, family was the most important thing to Linda, especially her beloved grandchildren, Lillie and Mark. 

Linda is survived by her parents, Gary and Carolyn Halsted of Coal Valley; two sons, Matthew Price and his fiancée Becky Hass of Dubuque, Iowa, and Nicholas Price of Fort Liberty, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Lillie and Mark Price; two sisters, Teresa (Danny) Hulslander of Eldridge, Iowa, and Brenda McCormick of Colona; and several nieces, nephews and in-laws.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, and a brother-in-law, Jeff McCormick.
