Linda R. Popp, 80, of Ada, Oklahoma, formerly of Moline, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Ada, Oklahoma.
Cremation will take place under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the family.
Linda Raylene Morlan was born September 20, 1945, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Ray Wilson and Eloise Minnie (Sedgwick) Morlan. She married Roland Popp, on May 19, 1962, in Muscatine, Iowa. The couple shared nearly 57 years prior to his passing on March 21, 2019.
Linda loved animals of all kinds, but especially dogs and cats. She spent much of her career working as a dog groomer and trainer, and later in her career as a vet tech.
She enjoyed gardening and flowers, knitting, and reading books of all kinds, especially sci-fi books. She was also a big fan of unicorns and Star Wars. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Linda, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linda is survived by three children, Lonnie (Brenda) Popp, Robbie Popp, and Lisa Sloan; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kris Schafer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Eloise Morlan; her husband, Roland Popp; and grandsons, Raymond Still and Lonnie E. Popp.
