Lewis C. Maske, 83, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, July 14, 2022, at home.
Private services will be held at Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline. Memorials may be made to Animal Aid Humane Society, Moline.
Lewis Charles Maske was born December 1, 1938, in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Louis and Augustine (Jaumotte) Maske. He married Carole Byrd on March 21, 1959, in Joliet. He served in the U.S. Army and went on to work in accounting at the Rock Island Arsenal for over 25 years, retiring in 1990.
He enjoyed golfing, bike-riding, bowling, playing softball, and watching birds and wildlife in the back yard. He was also an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs’ fan.
Lewis is survived by his daughter, Pamela Wyant of Moline; grandchildren, Ash Fairweather of Seattle, Washington, Kae (Nebojsa) Banjac of Davenport, Iowa, and Olivia Wyant of Milan; his beloved great-grandson, Teodor Banjac; sisters, Esther Mackey and Shirley Daniel, both of Joliet; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife and close friend, Carole Maske; and siblings, Harold Maske and LaVerle Mackey.
