The former Leona Hazel Glassman was born January 24, 1930, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Berthold and Hazel (Soshinske) Glassman, She married Gerald Blunt on September 4, 1948, in Rock Island. She was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for 25 years, retiring in 1990. They lived in Holcombe, Wisconsin for several years, where she was a member of United Methodist Church, Improvement Association, Women’s Club, Senior Citizens Club, and Fishing Has No Boundaries. Lee pushed for successful control of purple loosestripe, an exotic invasive plant which was invading the shore, wetlands and ponds in and around the Holcombe flowage. She was proud to pass her love of nature on to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed photography, travel, and camping, and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved and appreciated her family more than anything, and whose greatest happiness was to see all going well in their lives.

Lee is survived by her husband of 74 years, Gerald; children and spouses, Gerald Blunt, Julie and Gregory Tschopp, David and Barbara Blunt, and Caryl Eicksteadt; grandchildren, Chad (Gretchen) Blunt, Caressa Swann, Tina (Mike) Hayes, Nathan Blunt, Daniel (Sarah) Eickstaedt, Phillip (Juliann) Blunt, Carey (Steve) Stockton, Cassandra (Keiji) Szalo, Alexander Tschopp, and Tyler (Heidi) Tschopp; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elaine Hill.
