Leon Dean Loose was born July 30, 1939 in Bettendorf, to Cecil and Doris (Craig) Loose. He married Jean M. Hoglund on September 9, 1962 and together they raised their four children in Silvis and shared nearly six decades of love and happiness before Jean’s passing on December 6, 2021
Leon was a devout member of Moline Seventh-day Adventist Church. He retired from Williams White & Co., Moline on July 31, 2007 where he was a painter.

He once made a table out of playing cards and an origami tree for The Festival of Trees. One of his famous sayings was, "I fix things." He was an avid cyclist and caring father and grandfather who always put others first. His heart was kind, gentle, and generous.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean; brother, Elvert Loose; and brother-in-law, Lou Anderson.
The family extends their thanks to The Summit of Bettendorf and UnityPoint Hospice for their care and continued support. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness and creativity touched many lives.
