Krystina A. Cayette

Krystina A. Cayette, a beacon of warmth and love, passed away to Heaven on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, alongside her cherished baby girl, Chanel Denisse Vasquez. She was 30 years old.

A Homegoing Celebration for both Krystina and Chanel will be held at Noon on Saturday, November 18, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the services. The family requests that memorials be made to Lavonzell Williams for a fund to be established for Krystina’s children.

Krystina Asencia Cayette was born on August 5, 1993, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Lavonzell Ann Williams and Mark Anthony Cayette. She found her true love in Ivan Vasquez, with whom she shared the joy of seven beautiful children, including her precious Chanel.

Krystina was the epitome of love, kindness, and sweetness. Her infectious smile illuminated every room, and her heart knew only compassion. Not a trace of hate existed within her; she radiated love in every aspect of her life. Her world revolved around her children, for whom she was a pillar of strength and unwavering support. Cooking brought her joy, and capturing precious moments through photography was one of her many talents.

Krystina is survived by her beloved partner, Ivan Vasquez; their six children, Asencia, Jennifer, Ivan, Vanessa, Anthony, and Ivey Vasquez; her mother, Lavonzell (Maurice Johnson) Williams of Chicago; three siblings, Azzadi (David McKrieth) Cayette of Merrillville, Indiana, Enrique Cayette of Rayne, Louisiana, and Malia Johnson of Chicago; two uncles, Markas (Christopher Bailey) Williams and Clancy (Angelique) Williams; Ivan’s parents, Alberto Vasquez and Maricela Juarez, and the rest of Ivan’s family; and a host of cousins, other family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Anthony Cayette.

Krystina's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were touched by her love and kindness. May she and her precious Chanel rest in eternal peace.
