Kenneth L. Reffitt

Kenneth L. Reffitt, 82, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, December 18, 2016, in his home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory. A memorial gathering of friends will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline, at a later date.

Ken was born January 30, 1934, in Moline, Illinois, to Ben and Bertha Edelman Reffitt. He was a long time employee in the sign department of Eagle Food Center, Milan. He was a true gentleman and great conversationalist. Those who knew him will greatly miss his insights and humor. He read widely on a variety of subjects. He particularly admired the works of Dickens and Thoreau. He also enjoyed local history and reading biographies and histories.
